Do ladies or men get more dental cavities (caries)?

I would imagine (and this is a completely non-medical opinion!) that men get more cavities.

I think women are more likely to brush and floss their teeth frequently, and go for regular dental check ups. Women are usually more health conscious, and eat less sugary food due to dieting/watching their weight.

Women eat more sweets maybe their teeth rot faster.

Then again, women brush their teeth more.

Women get more cavities. Stress levels raise the acidity of the saliva, and since women have to put up with men constantly it should not be a surprise that they would have far more cavities than men.
