dong you think drunk driving should be a felony that caries a 5 year prison term?

I think it's a wonderful idea
It should carry the same penalty as any crime that involves public endagerment. Such as brandishing a loaded gun or weapon when drunk.
After all, isn't being behind the wheel of a 4,000 lb. chunk of steel that goes 100 mph at least as deadly as waving a loaded gun around when a person is drunk?
I believe if you look at the statistics, you'll find that the drunks behind the wheel kill many, many more people than gun wielding drunks (taking the number of drunk drivers vs. drunk shooters in to account of course).

No - how will we get home if we're to drunk to walk ……they should have special hours we can drive home without any police stopping us [ 2:00am - 5:00am] all the kids should be off the street and sleeping by then and most of the sober people would either be home or at work

No defiantly not drink driving is a very dangerous and irresponsible thing to do but the thing is you are drunk and you are not thinking responsibly. ok if you drive to a pub with the intention to get drunk and then intend to drive home for that you should go to prison but sometimes when you have a couple of drinks you are over the limit and dont know you are drunk so you get in the car .That is why you should not be able to have any alcoholic drinks any time in the day if you are intending to drive because it is very hard to tell when you are under the influence.
but no what makes you think 5 yrs is a fair amount of time do you have any idea what prison does to people 5 yrs out of your live you would be a completely different person prison destroys people why should you go there for having a drink and gettin in the car thats mental

No, we do not have the prison space for real criminals, and anyway. When I go to the pub for a few drinks, how the hell am I supposed to get my car home.
