I really want to get laser teeth whitening for graduation, but i have been using crest whitestrips and i haven't noticed much of a difference- whether it be because they arent working or I just can't tell because i use it on all of my teeth. If it really is the best, then does it hurt?
There are tw options for whitening your teeth
1) power bleaching, this involves lying in the chair for up to an hour under a light source, like you mentioned. immediate effects are noticeable however the teeth can look noticeably whiter after this sort of treatment due to dehydration of the teeth. it is however still very good if you want instant results. on the down side its more expensive than option 2 and our practice charges £375
2) you can ask the dentist to make you bleaching trays for night use with whitening gel. this can be used for as long as you feel necessary to get the results you want. results may be dependant on the strength of the whitening gel which varies depending on the dentists choice of purchase. this option is less expensive but it may take up to 2 weeks to see noticeable results. we charge £275 for this
whitening can cause tooth sensitivity which can be painful but is only short term
good luck

Tooth decay is caused by bacteria.
People did not get sick from bacteria until after The Fall.
But animals did not eat other animals before the Flood.
So I guess it boils down to this:
Does God consider tooth decay to be a disease caused by bacteria?
Or does God consider it to be an animal (bacteria) eating another animal (people)?
No. Prior to having rainbows, our tooth enamel was made of angel wings.
It's very very non-corruptive!

At 30K/year of tuition, I am thinking about joining the military for a scholarship. But "realistically", how much can a dentist make the first four years? Is private practice even feasible right out of D school? Is the military scholarship worth it, given that they pay for all tuition and fees and give you a monthly stipend of about $1900/month while in school in exchange for 4 years of service after graduation?
Dentists make over 100,000 out of college. Best thing is not start your own practice. Apply for a dentist position at a group practice or chain dental office.

…But the walls are free from caries?
Most likely yes. If active decay is left in a tooth/under a filling, even if the walls are clean, the decay will progress.
There are certain cases when a minimal amount of decay is left and if certain materials are placed on the floor of the cavity (when the decay is close to the pulp chamber), *sometimes* the cavity will not recur (the filling normally will need to be redone however), but in most cases it is not advised to leave active decay under a filling.

I mean we supposedly have the best medical care in the world. We don't have any problems with food supplies either Why are so many Americans lose their teeth and wear dentures.
Source:
You don't see so many people with dentures in Europe or Asia
Many of the older Americans did not have the advancements available to them when they were younger that exist today. For example when I started practicing dentistry in 1968 I constructed over 400 dentures in one year. Last year in our office that has 6 dentists only a total of 4 were made . The other reason why a person may end up with dentures is because they cannot afford good dental care. And lastly some people are so fearful of dentistry that they do not go to see the dentist until the teeth are shot. And I disagree with your statement about people in Europe ans Asia having better teeth. That is a total fallacy. The dental care and health and quality in America far exceeds other countries. Oh yes and the people in England have some of the worst mouths in the world.

I have a big problem with bad breath and its really embarrassing. I need some ways to get rid of it. preferably natural remedies.
Actually all people have some amount of bad breath because it is primarily caused by bacteria that live on the top of the tongue and produce the bad smells. Most of us cannot smell our own bad breath. Sometimes you can see this bacteria by looking on the top of your tongue for some white stuff. This must be removed in order to get rid of bad breath. Mints and gum just cover up the bad breath for a short time. Good oral hygiene is to brush and floss the teeth and then clean the tongue with a good tongue cleaner. I use OraBrush because it is both a brush and a scraper. Here is their website:

I'm looking for a teeth whitening kit that utilizes lab-created bleaching trays and 22% carbamide peroxide gel. I would like for the price to be around $100 if possible. It is also important that it be a reputable online dealer and not some "fly-by-night" reseller. I'm hoping someone, on Yahoo Answers, that has already had a good experience purchasing/using a teeth whitening system from the Internet will point me in the right direction.
There is a reason why they are available from dentists only. If you misuse the product, your teeth will turn a grayish blue color– permanently! I use Supersmile, and it's very effective. I use it, and it worked so well, I got some for my mom who had very discolored teeth.

I want to know the precautions to be taken to prevent the dental infection from spreading to other tooth. Please tell the dental hygiene that should be taken care of.
caries must be removed, however new techniques leads to minimal removal of tooth structure and even sterilizing the lesion by the use of devices such as healozon.
Also good oral hyegien must be carried on, limit the sugars intake to after the meals and then brush your teeth and avoid any snacks until the other meal.
Of course if caries reaches the pulp (nerve) then root canal is the treatment of choice, teeth are only removed when they are decayed to the point that makes them none restorable

A dentist with 3 years experience in own practice in Peru, looking to become a dentist in California. What is the process?
Pass the state board exams. It is usually held twice a year. Sacramento, and in Los Angeles, I believe. You need to develop a patient base to use for the exams. There are several criteria the patients must meet. You must perform clinical, laboratory, and written exams.

Almost every hardware store, covenience store, gun dealer and so on carries OC. Look for a good quality spray - FOX, DPS, Mace is OK, beware of cheap knock offs.
Check out these sites for more info..
