What’s the difference between having teeth removed in your dentist’s surgery and hospital ?

By: admin

I was told I needed all 4 wisdom teeth out and my dentist said he would do it in his surgery as he thought it best to avoid a general aneasthetic (or however you spell it !). He has removed two of them in his surgery but wants me to go to hospital for one of the remaining ones. He said it’s close to the nerve, which is why he doesn’t want to do it. Is he going back on what he said about gen aneasthetics or do the hospital just have a diff way of getting them out ? Also my dentist is a private one (I’m in the UK), will I have to pay to have this treatment in hospital ? Anyone know what the cost in comparison to having it done at the dentist is ? I think I paid about £120 for each tooth out so far. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

im a certified dental assistant….you need to find yourself an ORAL SURGEON,(sorry for large caps) they are professionals at what they do and will help you, making you feel more comfortable because they specialize in the profession of removing teeth and overall mainly wisdow teeth removal…oral sergeons are professional at removing wisdom teeth they do all the time probably 20 times a day…they specialize in removing hard to remove wisdom teeth.i would recommend you see one than go to the hospital…ive worked with oral sergeons so i know they are great at what they do…hospitals ARE expensive see if you can make an appointment with an oral sergeon..look one up if you have any trouble see if your dentist can refer you to an oral sergeon…hope this helped

they say wright brothers plane caries a 16 hp engine.?

By: admin
Published: July 3rd, 2009

if we compare with modern engine will it be equal to 250 cc motorbike engine

Yes, but the 250cc engine has to rev to many thousand rpm to produce that power, and that would require some sort of gear reduction to get the drive-speed of the props down to their efficient operating range, only a couple of hundred rpm.

The additional weight of a drive-speed reducer would prevent the machine from flying with that engine!

The Wright home-made engine turned only about a 800rpm and used a light-weight sprocket and chain drive (a’la their bicycles) to get the necessary drive-speed reduction.

Also, the fuels available then were pretty wretched. That 250cc engine might not even run on it! But even it did, it certainly wouldn’t produce anywhere near its rated hp.

The Wright design was far from perfect, and the machine barely flew, but it was better than anything else in the world in 1903!

Now, if you could design a machine that could put a payload in earth orbit for $100 per pond, you could garner equal fame and fortune as the Wrights!

Good luck! :-)

Where can I find cheap dentures in Illinois?

By: admin

I am looking specifically for the place in southern Illinois that offers one-day service for dentures. I have heard of it and have heard the dentures are good quality and very cheap. Can anyone help?

No where privately, youcan try a dental school, but you go on a waiting list and have to prove you are a low income earner

Does the taste of bad breath always necessarily mean that you have bad breath?

By: admin
Published: July 3rd, 2009

Okay, there have been some times that I could taste bad breath in my mouth after brushing my teeth or eating some mints, but im not too sure if that means i do have bad breath. I also want to know if there are instant ways to discreetly get rid of bad breath in public. Thank you.

yes i think it does. usually when i taste bad breath in the morning thats when its worst. lol. brush (especially your tongue because thats where all the bacteria is) floss and drink water with meals to help prevent this. also, gargling this: a teaspoon of honey and a bit of cinnamon mixed in boiling water should keep your mouth tasting and smelling fresh, good luck :)

What teeth whitening strip product do you suggest?

I’m 15 years old and my teeth aren’t exactly white, i’m thinking of buying some whitening strips product ( not the floss, or any of those other stuff) so which ones would you recommend? Also it has to be available in like a common store like walgreens, or something cuz i can’t shop online. oh ya i forgot to ask is the crest whitening strips that makes your teeth very sensitive a big problem? and does it have a long term effect?

If you are really looking for teeth whitening, regular toothposte probably isn’t enough just by itself.

I suggest doing what this mom did,

I know that it varies from state to state but how much does a Dentist generally make a year when starting off straight out of dental school? I live in wisconsin so if you can tell me how much they make here than that would be cool.

Who are competitors to the franchise Affordable Dentures?

By: admin
Published: June 26th, 2009

We are seeking second opinions for dental extractions and full dentures. Affordable Dentures can cast dentures in a matter of hours, on site, very inexpensive. Seeking like practices. Preferably in Minnesota or surrounding area.

I would encourage you to visit this website: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online 5 years ago now for all my dental work. They have saved me thousands throughout the years from Root Canals, extractions, x-rays, cleanings…etc. All services are included in this very affordable plan. Dentures are too. I not sure who to recommend you too, but I believe they have a provider search somewhere on the website for dentures. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and able to use them the same day. Good Luck and Hope the Helps.

What is the best way to cure my bad breath?

By: admin
Published: June 26th, 2009

My girlfriend is moaning at me and I think I need to do something about it.

I am only 26 and it has just started in the past few months!

Simply brushing my teeth does not work for long, maybe an hour and then my breath starts getting bad again, so I think there is a deeper problem.

Any effective methods?
Thanks, I have never even thought about brushing my tongue.

I will try that.

gargle with salt water and don't eat starchy foods like potato chips and french fries and breads
